5 AWESOME PLACES TO TAKE YOUR KIDS THIS WINTER BREAK

Hello all,

Looking for some fun activities to do with your kids for their winter break? Check out these fun things to do with your kiddos. These activities are in Tampa. There are many things to do there. I find myself there often. Here is a list of 5 incredibly awesome places to try!:

1. Nearby Beaches - First we should start with the most obvious reason people come to Florida, our beaches.  Fort DeSoto Park is a great one located in Tierra Verde on a barrier island. It is a 1136 acre park with a beautiful beach, campsites, two fishing piers and a historic fort. If you've never been, I recommend it, the fort is a site to see!
Clearwater beach is another tourist favorite. This was chosen as one of the best US beaches! It has sugar fine sand, a pier, and plenty of rentals for beach chairs and jet skis. Be forewarned though, this one is always crowded.
Another beach I should mention is Caladesi Island State Park located in Dunedin. You take a ferry to this one and they have a beautiful beach, a lookout tower, and a dock, and a three mile nature trail. Many come here to collect shells.

2. Busch Gardens - This is definitely on everyone's to do list  here. This theme park, located in Tampa, boasts many popular roller coasters like Sheikra and the Cheetah Hunt, along with water rides and shows. And let's not forget the animals! It's hailed as one of the biggest zoos in North America with more than 12,000 animals representing 250 species.

3. Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) Tampa - This is a not- for- profit science museum located in Tampa. It has IMAX movies, planetarium shows, ropes course, a zip line, and more than 400 hands on exhibits. The exhibits teaches us about how our bodies work, weather, the future and there is even a hands on children's science center.

4. Florida Aquarium - This is an amazing aquarium and one of my local favorites. It boasts over 20,000 aquatic animals and plants. It is ranked one of the top 10 aquariums in the country. It showcases Florida's aquatic life and ecosystems. It has 8 large exhibits showcasing this, along with a children's splash pad, shows and add on behind the scenes adventures, a lot of fun!

5  AWESOME PLACES TO TAKE YOUR KIDS THIS WINTER BREAK

5. Lowry Park Zoo - This is a 63 acre zoo located in Tampa boasting 1200 animals. It has many animal interaction experiences like touching and feeding stingrays and lorikeets, a petting zoo, giraffes and giant tortoises. They have a splash play area, shows and many behind the scenes events like safaris and sleepovers. So much for the kids!

MY REVIEW OF THE SELF INFLATING SLEEPING PAD BY SURVIVAL HAX

I received compensation  in exchange for writing this review. Although this post is sponsored, all opinions are my own

Hello all,

We love the outdoors here in Florida. How could you not with our beautiful weather. I know my family loves hiking. We can hike for hours. But sometimes, before heading back we just need to take a break. Or maybe you're having an impromptu stay over at a friends, or if you just need an instant place to hunker down for the night. I have the answer to your dilemma.

The Self Inflating Sleeping Pad by Survival Hax. It gives you a comfortable nights sleep anywhere. I tried it and it unrolls to a comfortable 70.8 x 19.6, more than enough to lay on comfortably. I love that it auto inflates. You just turn the nozzle, and adjust it to where you like it. Not enough, then you have the option to blow into and inflate it that way. I also like that it is light weight, less than 2 pounds. Makes it much easier to carry, especially since it rolls up small into its own carrying case, and slips nicely into any backpack.

It's also water resistant, which is nice in Florida's weather. This is a great product, I don't know what I did without! It's available through this link for $29.99  https://survivalhax.com/products/self-inflating-sleeping-pad . It makes a great gift. I know what I'm giving to my camping friends for Christmas!-

NO BETTER TIME THAN CHRISTMAS AT DISNEY

Hello all,

Living here in Florida I have been to a few of the major theme parks. One in particular, Disney is my favorite. Now that I have a grandchild,I wanted to take her there. It seems like the best time of the year to go, around Christmas time. Taking her to Disney was a dream of mine. So off I was to start planning.

I wanted to get the most out of our trip, so I checked out a few sites for advice to prepare. One of my favorite sites I checked out first was Couponing to Disney. I love this site and I find the author's advice easy to understand and follow. She offers many tips I took note of. I especially paid attention to her information about FastPass. We tried scheduling our FastPass with the Disney app, but it proved to be difficult to use and not very user friendly. We scheduled them through their kiosks instead.

We wanted to do as much as we could, so we used FastPass. With it we chose three rides initially. Then were able to choose more with FastPass, but one at a time. We rode a lot of rides! Even the few we did ride without FastPass, the lines were no longer than a 30 minute wait! We had an awesome time! I thought my granddaughter would be afraid of some of the rides, like the Teacups or Dumbo, but she absolutely loved them! In fact, the Teacups were her favorite! Her next favorite was It's a Small World. She loved being in the boat and watching all the animatronics going on around her! The expression on her face was timeless, something I will never forget! She even got to meet her favorite character, Minnie!

When it was time to eat, there were many eateries to choose from. We chose the Columbia Harbor House. It was perfect for lunch. We easily found seats, and it was very affordable. I definitely would eat there again.

Since it is the holiday season, when it got dark they lit up the front of the park around the castle with Christmas lights. It was such a sight to see! The castle was lit with purple and white lights. My granddaughter loved it! It was so beautiful. Every employee we came across was very knowledgable and pleasant. We had a great time! The only thing we didn't have time to do was shop, we were too tired. They did give my granddaughter a pin saying this was her first time at Disney, a real keepsake! I definitely recommend a trip to Disney for a way to spend quality time with the grandkids!

I received compensation  in exchange for writing this review. Although this post is sponsored, all opinions are my own

Hello all,

My family loves the outdoors. Especially camping, and there is no better time than now for camping here in Florida. The weather is just perfect this time of year. I was so happy when I received the 3 Season Mummy Sleeping Bag by Survival Hax to review.

We were on the lookout for new sleeping bags to buy. My husband is the type who gets so cold in any weather. This sleeping bag is amazing! It keeps you snug, cozy, and warm all snuggled in like a mummy. My husband said it was extremely comfortable and he almost fell asleep in it while trying it out for me! The sleeping bag comes in a convenient carry bag with a handle that I liked a lot. And its ultralight, which is a win win for me, being under 3 pounds.

The 3 Season Mummy Sleeping Bag can handle temperatures as low 24F and still keep you warm. The sleeping bag is even water resistant, which is good when it rains like it does here so often. The bag is made out of soft, comfortable, high quality material. This is an awesome product, and would make a great gift! This sleeping bag sells for $24.99 on amazon through this link http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F8DMDV2.  Even that is a steal for this high quality sleeping bag.
